Genix
Name: John Steel
Alias: Genix Lightfoot
Powers: Jumping, Disintegration, Vampirism, Longevity, Teleportation, Super-strength, Super-speed.
Background: Genix was a low level super villain prior to the Alien invasion with the ability to teleport through metal objects which he used to become a successful thief. During the Alien invasion be choose to resist the Aliens and was captured and he spent over a decade locked in a Dominator research laboratory being experimented on. These experiments may be the reason that he developed so many powers later on in his life. Genix was rescued from his imprisonment by a group of Resistance fighters who had infiltrated the base. He quickly joined the Resistance and became one of its leading members taking part in almost all of the missions to locate the missing JLA members and the eventual overthrow of the Alien rule.
After Metropolis was freed Genix moved from battle-front to battle-front aiding the resistance wherever it needed him and built up a reputation to be feared by the Aliens. Once the Aliens were defeated he rested for a short time until he heard from a friend from the resistance than the Mexican government had started to round up Meta-humans and were experimenting on them. He and Polaris started an 'Underground Railroad' to smuggle meta-humans out of Mexico and into Coast city. This continued for several years but they were eventually tracked down by government forces and Polaris was killed and Geneix driven from the country. Genix was in Metropolis when the OMACs first attacked the city and was part of the group that tracked where they had come from.
He was then recruited into the Ultramarines Task force sent to investigate them further. The search took him back to Mexico then to South Africa. There he found that the Aliens had set a trap to capture him although he was freed when OMACs attacked the city. He was later important in the defeat of Brother Eye, part of the team that boarded Brother Eye's base and it was there that he found out that his friend Polaris was under the control of Eye. Brother Eye was destroyed and Genix and his team returned to earth. With Brother Eye defeated, Genix decided it was time to retire (despite not having aged since being captured by the Aliens), he settled down in Metropolis and had two children, Sarah and Simon. Genix is among those who have disappeared since the Daxamites arrived on Earth: his current status is unknown.
