Background: Bear is rumoured to have been a collaborator with the Aliens in the part, possibly part of the Luthor administration but this has not been confirmed. His first confirmed sighting has him running a primitive factory in the slum area of Metropolis when he took in several of the free humans and provided food and water in exchange for their labour to produce clothes and other goods for trade with other slum dwellers. He became associated with the resistance and took part in the raid on the dominator facility holding Genix and Orana and well as locating the JLA black box. When the Luthor bunker was discovered he moved his factory to it and began to make use of its resources. After the revolution, Bear quickly formed a corporation originally working out of Metropolis but later going global. He still produces many of the clothes used on Earth but has branched out into sectors as varied as mining, power generation, weapons production and advertising. His company Bear Industries is currently the 20th largest on the planet and Bear himself is the 6th wealthiest individual in the world.
