Fishing Vessel Finds Treasure In Net

The Annabel out of Fort William, was fishing 150 miles off the coast in the north east Atlantic when it made an interesting discovery while pulling in its trawling net yesterday morning. A number of potentially ancient artefacts were mingled with the haul of Atlantic Cod. Preliminary tests have been carried out by an archaeology team from Glasgow University and initial thoughts are that the artefacts to be Scandinavian in origin. The items found included a number of rudimentary tools and the almost completely intact prow of a sea faring vessel.
