Tagers are the warriors and leaders of the Eldrich Society. They bond with alien symbionts that produce alien-like suits of flesh over their bodies, giving them enhanced strength and other abilities. They, and the Society, combat the powerful and terrible cult known as the Children of Chaos who seek the return of the Old Ones. Tagers are named for the Ta'ge symbionts they bond with.
==The Rite of Sacred Union==
Tager are "born" through the Rite of Sacred Union, the process which fuses a mortal and a Ta'ge symbiont into one creature. Exactly where these symbionts come from is unknown, as is whether they exist somewhere in physical space and are transported across that distance, or if they come from another layer of reality. It is known that the symbiont will destroy any "unsuitable" mortal which attempts to bond with it.
===Manifestations===
Only a few species of Ta'ge symbionts are known to exist, though the variety is less than the many strains of Dhohanoids. Known types include:

* Phantom
* Shadow
* Nightmare
* Whisper
* Mirage
* Echo
* Spectre
* Vampire
