The Orcgate War was a terrible war of attrition 90 years ago when the Orcish forces swept out of the [[Wildlands]] in a bloody wave of conquest and massacre. Orcish warbands had been a significant problem in the [[Eastlands]] for some time, especially for the Dwarves who had lost many strongholds to them, but no one knew the scale of their forces until they swept across the Eastlands. <br />

The war lasted twenty years, with nearly every city in Volkrania besieged at some point or another. The other races of Volkrania fared little better, with the exception of the Elves. [[Athelthiar]] and [[The Dimwood]] remained largely untouched, which made the [[Night of Betrayal]] far worse to most Volkranians.</div>Bill
