Pyrrhus, an ancient Red Dragon, had been a problem for many years. Despite his destructive tendencies, he has shown himself little over the centuries - and has apparently mellowed considerably. Just a few days prior to the [[Purge of Fire]], a group of adventurers discovered his lair in the lost Elven city of Thalandar, a city destroyed by the Wyrm a thousand years previously.

The adventurers managed to escape with their lives, waking him in the process. Rather than destroying them outright, the dragon listened to their tales of the world outside, and spared their lives. They carried news of their encounter back to [[Taldan]], where many were sceptical at the very least.

However, it has become evident that Pyrrhus has been active in the Purge of Fire in some way - several Talons of Mandragora and their goblin support were destroyed in the mountains, and witnesses speak of seeing a Dragon in the area. Since the [[Purge of Fire]] he has not been seen and no one has dared to approach his lair. Unusually, he has not exhibited the destructive tendencies of his kind, but with a dragon nothing is certain.

There are rumours that the dragon is an art lover and will go to great lengths to acquire items for his collection, and that many priceless lost works of art may be found in his lair. No one has dared to request a visit though!
